Caden Cole: Singer

Chicago-based Baritone Caden Cole is making waves in the operatic scene in the Midwest. As an interpreter of Mozart, Cole has lent his voice to iconic roles such as Il Conte in Le nozze di Figaro, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, and the title role in Don Giovanni. Cole has also performed roles such as Sid in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring and Mr. Moss in Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land, and covered the role of Samuel in The Pirates of Penzance.

Outside of the operatic repertoire, Cole has performed many great choral masterworks as both a soloist and a choral singer. Cole has performed the baritone solo in Faure’s Requiem, Leopold Mozart’s Missa in A, and covered the baritone solo in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. In notable recital repertoire, Cole has performed the song cycle The House of Life by Vaughan Williams as well as selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs and Schubert’s Winterreise.

Cole is currently a master’s candidate in classical voice at the Chicago College of Performing Arts and holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education from Southern Illinois University.
